This is a blog for Camberwell Students and Staff to talk about, critique and generally think about the Foundation Film Programme (check out the other blog criticalvoices.blogspot.com)
I think the plot is really smart, how everyone's account of the event is completely different. It makes people want to keep watching it even though it's a bit boring at parts. I got extremely bored when the two men were in a duel but I stayed in my seat just to find out the ending.
The ending was a bit disappointing. Nothing really happened. And I don't get how that monk can regain faith in the human race so quickly after such a big let down. It's true that the story-teller deciding to keep the child was a good thing. But the fact that he stole the dagger still exists too.
